Dr. Miriam Sivkin
M.D., FACOG, MA, AASECT, CST, MSCP
Dr. Miriam Sivkin is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist whose clinical work and writing center on women’s health across all stages of life. She practices at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she works as a Gynecologist specializing in Sexual Health, Menopause health, and complex hormonal management of Menopause. A graduate of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Sivkin completed her residency at State University Hospital at S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook, N.Y., where she served as Chief Resident.
In her 41 years of practice, she also:
- Was a Supervising Obstetrician at Yale School of Medicine, Department of OB/GYN – Division of Obstetric Specialties and Midwifery, supervising deliveries at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
- Developed a program to provide sexual health counseling to patients undergoing treatment at Yale-New Haven Hospital through the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Services.
- Was President and CEO of Southern Connecticut Women’s Health Care Associates, P.C., Milford, CT.
- Was a Principal Investigator for clinical research trials in Gynecology at Clinical Research Consulting, LLC.
- Was Chairperson of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Milford Hospital, Milford, CT.
- Was Co-President and Managing Partner of Milford OB-GYN Associates, P.C., Milford, CT.
In addition to her Obstetrics and Gynecology training, Dr. Sivkin is a certified Medical Sex Therapist and a certified Menopause Society Practitioner, blending evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Her work reflects a deep commitment to understanding women’s lived experiences, particularly during moments of vulnerability and transition. As both a clinician and author, she bridges the gap between medical expertise and storytelling, giving voice to experiences often overlooked. Through her writing, Dr. Sivkin seeks to educate, empower, and foster connection, ensuring women feel seen, informed, and supported in their healthcare journeys.
